About Valorant Ping Test

What is Valorant Ping Test?

Valorant Ping Test is a free tool that measures your latency (ping) to various server regions to help you get the best performance in Riot Games' tactical 5v5 character-based FPS game Valorant. With this test, you can find out which servers you can play on with lower ping.

Why is Ping Important in Valorant?

Ping is vitally important in competitive tactical shooter games like Valorant. Low ping gives you these advantages:

  • Precise Shooting: Your target tracking and headshots become more accurate
  • Ability Usage: Your abilities activate instantly
  • Peeker's Advantage: You gain advantage in corner control and first sight
  • Response Time: You see enemies faster and react quicker
  • Smooth Gameplay: No lag, rubber-banding or teleporting

What Ping Values Are Considered Good?

  • 0-30ms (Excellent): Ideal for Radiant/Immortal level gaming
  • 30-60ms (Very Good): Suitable for high elo competitive gaming
  • 60-100ms (Good): Acceptable for ranked gaming
  • 100ms+ (Poor): Playable but at a serious disadvantage

Valorant Server Regions

Valorant operates servers in many regions worldwide to provide the best experience for players:

  • Istanbul (Turkey): For Turkey and nearby regions
  • Frankfurt (EU): European central server
  • London (EU West): For Western Europe
  • Madrid (EU West): For Spain and surroundings
  • Warsaw (EU East): For Eastern Europe
  • Bahrain (Middle East): Middle East region
  • Mumbai (India): India and South Asia
  • Singapore (SEA): Southeast Asia
  • Tokyo (Japan): Japan region
  • Hong Kong: China and surrounding regions
  • Sydney (OCE): Australia and Oceania
  • North America: Multiple servers for US and Canada
  • Latin America: South American regions

How Does It Work?

This tool sends real-time ping requests to AWS (Amazon Web Services) servers located near Valorant server regions to measure response times. The test automatically updates every 5 seconds and shows you your estimated ping values.

How Can I Lower My Ping?

  • Select the server region closest to you in Valorant settings
  • Use ethernet cable instead of WiFi
  • Close background applications (Discord video, torrents, etc.)
  • Configure QoS (Quality of Service) settings on your router
  • Stop streaming, video watching during gameplay
  • Turn off VPN if you're using one (gaming VPN can help in some cases)
  • Get a faster/more stable package from your internet service provider
  • Limit bandwidth usage of other devices in your household

How to Change Server in Valorant?

To change your server region in Valorant:

  1. Log into the game
  2. Click the settings icon in the top right corner
  3. Go to the "General" tab
  4. Select your preferred servers from the "Server Selection" section
  5. Keep the lowest ping server in the first position

Pro Tip:

For competitive play in Valorant, your ping should be below 50ms. If your ping is high, selecting only the server region closest to you in game settings may increase your matchmaking time, but your gaming experience will be much better. You can also reduce input lag by keeping network buffering settings at "minimum" level.

Important Note:

This ping test is performed to AWS servers located in the same data centers, not to Valorant's actual game servers. Therefore, the displayed values are estimates and your actual in-game ping values may differ by 5-15ms. To get the most accurate ping value, you can create a custom game in-game and check.
